Trio in GB Masters action in Poland
Three Croydon Harriers represented Great Britain at the World Masters Indoor Athletics Championships last weekend in Torun, Poland.
Madeleine Armstrong-Plieth finished 9th in the W40 category to help team GB win bronze in the team competition.
In the M60 8km race, Colin Oxlade would finish 24th (36:52) to help GB to fourth in the overall standings, while Jacob Armstrong-Plieth was 19th in the M45 category in 35:08.
Oxlade would also take part in the 3000m, finishing 18th in 11:31.93.
In parkrun action, Phil Symonds would triumph at Dulwich in a field of 569 finishers, completing the 5k course in 15 minutes and 52 seconds. Patrick Lucas would finish 10th. There was a one-two in the women’s category at Lloyd Park for Zoha Jetha and Katherina Warren, Ben Whyte was first home at South Norwood and Douglas Aikman was fifth out of 370 finishers at Brockwell. 35 Croydon Harriers were in action across all parkruns.
