Surrey Indoor Champs, 17-18th Feb ’18, Results and Report

Croydon Harriers brought home 24 medals at the Surrey Indoor Championships at Sutton Arena last weekend, eleven of them gold.

Lia Bonsu particularly shone, stepping up an age group to win the Under 15 girls 60m hurdles before returning to the Under 13 Girls ranks to win the long jump and silver in the 60m.

High jumper Jack Ennis set a joint championship best in the Under 17 men’s category with a 1.90m effort. Training partner Israel Bakare followed suit in the Under 15 boys version of the event.

Multi eventer Reuben Vaughan brought home a medal of each colour on the field. He triumphed in the Under 20 Men’s long jump, while settling for silver in the pole vault and notching bronze in the shot putt.

Also on the field, Emmanuel Thomas soared to 1st in the Under 20 men’s pole vault and Ola Olufemi-Krakue won the Under 17 women’s triple jump.
