Surrey Indoor Athletics Champs, 15th-16th Feb 2019, Results and Report

Croydon Harriers brought home EIGHT gold medals and 18 medals in all at the Surrey Indoor championships at Sutton Arena.

It was in the Under 20s age group where Croydon were their most prolific with four golds. Jack Ennis leapt to a new lifetime best of 2.08m in the Under 20 men’s high jump while Reuben Vaughan topped the long jump standings in the same age group.

Also on the field Ola Olufemi-Krakue won the Under 20 women’s triple jump with an effort in excess of 11m, and Dylan Da Costa triumphed in the Under 20 men’s 60m in a photofinish

Emmanuel Thomas cleared 4.60m in the pole vault for 1st. Lia Bonsu continued her regional dominance over the sprint hurdles in the Under 15 girls race. There was double 60m gold in the Under 13 categories thanks to Kacey Johnson and Ibukun Akintola.

There were a further seven silver medals and four bronze.
