Sparrows Den XC Relays, 16th Sep 17, Results and Report

At Sparrows Den, Croydon Harriers enjoyed a club record turnout with six young athletes teams and three senior teams taking on the Will Bolton Memorial Relays.

The Under 17 men’s team would enjoy the highest finish of the day in 20th over the 4x4km race. Robbie Tambling clocked 14 minutes and 55 seconds to finish 36th out of 227 competing athletes. Isaac Flanagan (48th, 15:15), Jordan O’Dongo (62nd, 15:39) and Luke Hill (82nd, 15:59) completed the quartet.

The Men’s squad would finish seven places behind their younger counterparts. They were spearheaded by Alan Burn, Andy Del Nevo, Olly Hunt and Dan Humble. Burn would clock the fastest time of the quartet in 15:51 for 77th.

Adam Shew shone for the Under 17 B team finishing 82nd in a time of 15:54, with Ryan Crockett, Soul Hallums and Jonathan Long ensuring they would place 34th.

The Men’s B team of Ifetobi Salako, Soul Hallums, Ryan Crockett and Neil Aikman would finish 37th and the mixed team of Anna Corby, Miriam De Souza, Radhika Selvarajah and Matthew Kiernan placed 59th.
