Six medals for Croydon athletes at the England Indoor Champs
Croydon Harrier Farrell Fabusiwa won double England Indoor Gold last weekend in Sheffield.
Sprinter Fabusiwa would first prevail in the Under 17 Men’s 60m in 6.82s and then come through two rounds of qualifying for the 200m winning the finale in 21.59s.
He was joined at the England Indoor Championships by a further dozen Croydon athletes. There was an impressive silver medal winning performance from Shivelle Marshall in the Under 17 Women’s 60m in 7.51s. Further silver medals were won by Anjelho Macabee-Rose (Under 15 Boys 200m, Anjelho Macabee-Rose, 22.82s) and Atarah Watson (Under 15 Girls shot putt, 11.48m).
Gabby Reid would grab a bronze medal in her sixth race of the weekend, the final of the Under 15 girls 60m.
Other finalists included Henry Thomas (Under 20 Men’s 60m, 8th), N’Ziah Burrell (Under 17 Men’s 60m, 5th) and Saray-Destiny Crosdale (Under 15 Girl’s 200m, 5th).
