SEAA Indoor Champs round-up, 1st-2nd Feb ’20

Croydon Harrier athletes Cheyanne Evans-Gray and Jack Ennis struck gold at the South of England indoor championships at Lee Valley last weekend. 

Evans-Gray, fresh from her England debut last weekend, stormed to victory in the women’s 60m in a new lifetime best of 7.40secs. 

High jumper Jack Ennis leapt to new heights as he cleared 2.10m to win the Under 20 men’s title. Suhuyini Osman won bronze in the Under 20 men’s 60m. Derek Kinlock was fifth in the same race in a new PB of 6.85s.

In the men’s 60m final there was a well deserved lifetime best for Micah Francis-Dwyer of 6.93s, he finished just outside of the medals in fourth. Sprint hurdler Hakan Digby matched that feat in his Under 20 men’s event. 

In the women’s sprint hurdles, Twinelle Hopeson-Moffat placed fifth in the final.

Shelton Mattison, Ella Pippim, Ines Zepa and Louis Smithen were also in action.
