Road running round-up, 15/16th Feb ’20
At the Armagh international 5km road race, Croydon Harrier duo James Hancock and Alex Penfold notched lifetime bests of 15:08 and 15:35 respectively. 24 hours later Hancock would run the fastest time for parkrun in Ireland on Saturday, clocking 15:49 at Belfast Victoria. Penfold’s 16:31 at the same event would be the fourth fastest in Ireland on Saturday.
In other parkrun news, Isaac Flanagan was first home at Lloyd Park, while Julian Forbes was first across the line in Nidda Germany.
Three Croydon Harriers took part in the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon. James Moore was 76th (25th M40) out of 714 finishers in his age group. Laura Marshall placed 34th in the women’s race (11th W45) and Emily Flowers was 63rd.
