Croydon Harrier duo Lucy Cole and Zoha Jetha enjoyed solid outings at the CAU Inter Counties cross-country championships in Nottingham on Sunday.

The training partners, who were both representing Surrey, both finished in the top half of their respective races with Cole 111th (Under 17 women) and Jetha 82nd (Under 20 women).

At the Cambridge Half Marathon, four Croydon athletes took part, with Ben Chapman stealing the show finishing 33rd in 71 minutes and 18 seconds. The time is also a London Marathon qualifying time. Ernie Hann (2927th, 1:44.08), Terry Lapins (2928th, 1:46.38) and Tina Saunders (2948th, 2:15.30) completed the club contingent.

Rob Spalding led the Croydon squad home at the Paddock Wood Half Marathon clocking 75:27 to finish 73rd as part of his London Marathon preparations. Ashley George (322nd) and James Moore (893rd) were also in action. 

Six Croydon athletes took on the Kingston Breakfast Run 20-mile road race, with Madeleine Armstrong-Plieth finishing 2nd W45 in 2:29.39. Jacob Armstrong Plieth (7th M50), Stan Colomb (152nd), Jenny Forde (88th), Jasmine Bell (256th) and Sunanda Sarker-Bell (257th) rounded off the Croydon squad.

42 Croydon Harriers took part in parkruns on Saturday with first place finishes coming courtesy of Douglas Aikman (Crystal Palace), Sean Leahy (Lloyd Park), Phil Symonds (South Norwood). Alexa Gill was runner-up at Beckton.
