Road race round-up 21-22 March ’26
Croydon Harrier Ben Whyte would finish fifth at the Thames Riverside 20 mile road race on Sunday in an impressive 1:59:17. He was well supported by London Marathon bound Dave Brown who was four places behind in 2:07:52. Scott Miller was 19th M40 in 2:40:09.
At the Bromley Masters Open XC race, Jacob Armstrong-Plieth led the Croydon contingent in 11th overall (4th M45) with Terry Lapins (26th, 9th M35) and James Moore (31st, 8th M55) also featuring strongly. Liane Evans would finish third W35 while daughter Anoushka Evans was one place behind and first home in the women’s category.
48 Croydon Harriers took part in parkruns on Saturday with first place finishes for Phil Symonds (South Norwood) and Sean Leahy (Lloyd Park). Jenny Forde was runner-up at Zielony Jar, while there were third places for Zoha Jetha (Dulwich) and Alexa Gill (Whitecliffe Lake).
