Coaches Secretary, Middle-distance/Endurance/High Jump Coach – Mike Fleet
Mike is a UKA Level 4 Qualified Coach and has many decades experience in the field. He also provides coaching workshops in high jump and javelin.
Training times: Tuesday and Thursdays 7pm at Croydon Arena.
Sprints Coach (Young Athletes/Juniors) – Paul Weston
Paul is a UKA Level 2 Qualified Coach and arguably one of the best relay coaches in the region.
Training times: Tuesdays 6.15pm for Under 14s. Tuesdays and Thursdays 7.15pm for 14-19 year-olds. All at Croydon Arena
Lead Croydon Athletics Academy Coach – Jim Eccles
Jim is the lead Coach at the Croydon Athletics Academy which is arguably one of the most successful development athletics groups in the area. It is especially good for those aged 6-11.

Jim is also a freelance coach and is highly recommended.
Sprints Coach (Adults, Over 20 years of age) –Matthew Pepper
Training is Tuesdays and Thursdays at Croydon Arena at 7pm. Saturday sessions are also arranged, contact Matt directly for details of those.
Throws (Shot / Hammer / Discus) Coach – Chris King
Training times: Tuesdays / Thursdays 6.15pm Shot Putt. Tuesdays / Thursdays 7.15pm Hammer & Discus. All at Croydon Arena
Pole Vault / Croydon Athletics Academy Coach – Ian Johnston
Sessions for pole vault take place at Sutton Arena and there are Ad Hoc sessions at Croydon Arena throughout the summer.
Endurance Running Coach – Simon Loughran
Simon is a highly experienced professional running coach and founder of the running website runbundle. If you are after one-to-one personal coaching, tailored training programmes or a coach for your workplace then Simon is highly recommended.
Under 11s Development Coach – Clarence Riley
If your child is under 11 and can’t make the Monday and Wednesday Croydon Athletics Academy, then Tuesday’s session with Coach Clarence is another excellent option.
Sessions are at Croydon Arena from 6.10pm Easter-October
And November to March its 6pm at Trinity School.
Assistant Middle-Distance Young Athletes/ Endurance Running – Matthew Kiernan
Training times: Tuesday and Thursdays 7pm at Croydon Arena, plus some Sundays which arranged ad hoc.
