London Marathon 2025 Report
e London Marathon, eleven Croydon Harriers lined the streets of Capital to take on the famous 26.2 mile course.
Ben Whyte clocked an impressive 2:38:43 to finish inside the top 600 to cap off an incredible Winter and Spring season. Rob Spalding was next home in 2:47:19 over ten years on from having completed six Mini Marathons between 2010-15. Both Whyte and Spalding secure Good For Age qualifications for next year.
Croydon’s first female finisher was Madeleine Armstrong-Pleith who ran 3:12:06, her third quickest time of the distance and 34 seconds faster than 12 months ago.


Next home was Steve Jones on his marathon debut in 4:53:03, and he was followed by Rush Yadave who completed his FORTIETH London Marathon race in 5:11:51.
Croydon’s other finishers included Rohan McKenzie (6:36:25), Carol Johnson (6:59:45), James Roach (8:15:59) and Shane Lindsay.
