Five Croydon athletes in action at Hyde Park

Five Croydon Harriers took part in the hotly contested Hyde Park 5k on Friday with Scott Miller leading the team home in 14th position. 

Miller would clock 16 minutes and 50 seconds for the course and was closely followed by David Brown in 21st (17:08). Freddie Harding (29th, 17:27), Glenn Barden (45th, 18:14) and Mike Smalley (79th,19:51) completed the contingent. 

Forty Croydon athletes took part in parkruns on Saturday with first place finishes coming courtesy of Lucy Cole (Roundshaw Downs), Douglas Aikman (Crystal Palace), Ben Whyte (South Norwood), Phil Symonds (Cosmeston Lakes).

This Saturday 4th January sees Lloyd Park host over 900 runners across ten races in the Surrey County Cross Country Championships.
