Croydon Harrier Donna Fraser launches GB kit fundraising auction
Four-time Olympian and Croydon Harrier Donna Fraser is auctioning a range of her international kit to fundraise for the next generation of athletes in the Borough.
Items on offer include tracksuits, vests and bags accrued from international meetings at Commonwealth, European and Olympic level.
All funds raised will be invested directly into the young athletes at Croydon Harriers with current projects including new weight training equipment and fundraising for urgent repairs to the Croydon Arena throws cage.
Speaking about what Croydon Harriers means to her, the 2005 World Championship 4x400m bronze medallist said:
“I’m so proud to have been a Croydon Harrier for so many years. I started at the age of 11 while running for Winterbourne Junior School. I’ve had an amazing journey with the club and I’ve always tried to be supportive. It’s really important for our athletes to support their club the best they can. I was very proud of wearing the Croydon Harriers when I competed, as much as I possibly could, especially at British Championships”.
