His 65.56m winning throw is just 44cm shy of the Olympic A qualifying mark.

Croydon Harrier Alex Penfold enjoyed a lifetime best performance at the Battersea Under the Lights 5k, finishing 70th in a high quality field.
His 15 minutes 31 seconds clocking was a five-second improvement on his previous best, and placed him in the upper half of the 153-strong field.
At the Clapham Common 10k, three Croydon athletes toed the line. Will Lyon Tupman finished 54th overall in 41:02. Jacob Armstrong-Plieth was runner-up in the M45 category in 42:27 and Nicola Meheran was 13th in the women’s race in 46:04.
