Comp round-up 12-13th March 2022
Croydon Harrier James Hancock helped Surrey to team Gold on Saturday at the inter-county championships in Birmingham.
The Surrey League 2nd division winner finished 65th in a high-class field of 289 competitors.
At the British Masters cross-country championships in Tonbridge, Madeleine Armstrong-Plieth won gold in the W40 category covering the 6km course in 27:37. In the 8km race, Jacob Armstrong-Plieth (27th M45), James Moore (17th M50), Terry Lapins (20th, M35) and Colin Oxlade (19th M60) were also in action.
In the England Masters Inter Area Challenge, Colin Oxlade was 7th in the M50 800m, 1500m and 3000m.
At the Wimbledon 5k, David Brown was 44th and Terry Lapins 92nd, while Sunanda Sarker-Bell (4th W55) and Jasmine Bell (1st U17).
In parkrun action, Zoha Jetha and Katherina Warren were 1st and 2nd at Lloyd Park. Anna Corby was 1st home at Severn Bridge and Brendan Murphy was runner-up at Holy Cross College.
