Over 80 awards handed out at Annual Awards evening
Over eighty trophies were dished out at our Annual Awards Evening held on the Friday 8th December 2017 at Old Whitgiftian Rugby Club.
With over 120 attendees on the night, it was a wonderful evening which celebrated all our athlete’s achievement throughout the year.

It was a huge privilege to have Olympic medallist Martyn Rooney, 4-time Olympian Donna Fraser and European junior silver medalist Rob Sakala present on the evening and to give out awards. Thanks so much guys, it made a lot of the young athlete’s years let alone evenings!
Timekeeper David Harris won the outstanding contribution Lisney Salver award at the start of the evening to kick off proceedings.
Zindzi Williams and Micah Francis-Dwyer scooped the team spirit awards, while Adam Shew won the oldest trophy we have, namely the Ashby Cup for the Ashby Mile handicap races held throughout the winter.
Well done to all our award winners! And thank you to all our supporters who came priligy pills along as well, a wonderful evening.
Big kudos must go to Don Webb who presented for the final time. Don has collected, polished and presented at our awards evening for over two decades. He is an absolute hero. Thanks Don for all your work over the years! Don was presented with a gift at the end of the presentation from Coach Mike.
Thanks also to the caterers who did a great job led by Lauraine, whose daughter is Kyrra-Rhianne a member of Paul’s group. Kyrra we continue to wish you a speedy recovery!
Thanks to Amy for booking and venue liaison and logistics on the night / Pearl for the music / Coach Mike and Nicola for the quizzes and the advice / James for the financials / Andy for the awards presenting and Radhika for the raffle. And to anyone else who helped on the evening!
An enjoyable evening. Roll on 2018!
