Ten in action at the South of Thames XC Champs
Ten Croydon Harriers took part in the South of Thames 7.5 mile cross-country championships at Wimbledon Common on Saturday.
Phil Symonds spearheaded the men’s team finishing 34th in the 219-strong field. He was backed up by Tom Baxter (54th), Harry Speedy (145th), Jacob Armstrong-Plieth (154th), Max Evans (187th), James Moore (203rd) and Colin Oxlade (205th).
Madeleine Armstrong-Plieth (23rd), Jasmine Bell (59th) and Miriam De Souza (60th) kept the Croydon flag flying in the women’s race.
47 Croydon athletes were in parkrun action on Saturday morning. Zoha Jetha was first female at Lloyd Park while Sean Leahy was first home at South Norwood.
