30+ Croydon athletes in action at the 2025 SEAA XC Champs
Over thirty Croydon Harriers took part in the South of England Championships at Beckenham Place Park last weekend with young athletes enjoying top 25 finishes against the best athletes in the South.
Lucy Cole was 16th in the Under 17 women’s race while teammate Zoha Jetha was 25th in the Under 20 women’s category.
Further top 100 finishes in the young athletes ranks came courtesy of Douglas Aikman (Under 20 men, 48th), Aida Palomares-Dominguez (Under 15 girls, 59th), Malaika Trim (Under 13 girls, 97th), Francis Bambury (Under 15 boys, 98th) and Sean Leahy (Under 17 men, 100th).
The under 13 boys squad would finish 26th, while the under 15 boys would place four places higher.
In the senior races, Madeleine Armstrong-Plieth would finish 89th to lead the women’s team finished 30th, while Ben Chapman led the men’s squad home to 19th finishing 104th overall in a field of 631 finishers.
