Welcome to Croydon Harriers
New members of all ages and abilities are always welcome to join us.
So if you are interested in joining us, why not come down to one of our training nights at the track. We recommend for all new members to come along at 6.45pm (15mins before the session begins), for a chance to meet the coaches and acquaint yourselves with the facilities. If you are aiming for the Croydon Athletics Academy then arrive for 5.15pm.

New members of all ages and abilities are always welcome. Our training times are as follows:
Development group (ages 6-10) with Coach Clarence on Tuesdays at 6pm at Trinity School (post October half-term-March), 6.15 at Croydon Arena on Tuesdays (April-September).
Development group with Coach Jim, with assistant coaches Ian, Neil & Rob on Mondays & Wednesdays, 5.15pm with the Croydon Athletics Academy, click here for details
Sprint Training with Coach Paul. Ages 10-14 at Croydon Arena 6.15pm on a Tuesdays. Ages 14-18 – 7pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. (all year-round, break in September).
Sprinters aged 18+ train with Coach Matthew Pepper at Croydon Arena, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm (all year-round)
Middle-distance to endurance training with Coach Mike and assistants Matthew & Alan. Ages 10 upwards (no upper age limit!), Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm. (all year-round). Every other Sunday at 10am at Lloyd Park car park for hills, email for details.
Wednesday Road Running group with Coach Neil and assistant Colin, 6.30pm Wednesdays at Croydon Arena. Road runs of 3-8 miles, all paces covered. Group leaves at 6.45pm.
Throws training with Coach Chris, 6.30 Tuesdays & Thursdays (all year-round).
Sprint Hurdles with Coach Paul, 6.15 on a Thursday. Or Coach Peter every Tuesday at 7.45pm.
Triple jump with Coach David, 7pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Pole Vault with Coach Ian, 6.45pm on a Monday and Wednesday at Sutton Arena.

The purposes of Croydon Harriers are to promote community participation in healthy recreation through the provision of facilities for the sport of athletics in Croydon; and to further such purposes as are charitable according to the laws of England and Wales for the benefit of the public.
Tips for your first sessionÂ
- Arrive 15-25 minutes before your first session is due to start for a quick induction
- Usual sports kit plus a tracksuit is recommended.
- Bring a water bottle – training is thirsty work!
- Stay clear of lane one, lots of running sessions are going on at this time so its key to stay safe!
- Your first session is free.
